With this short video we want to show the constructive differences between Wellons cells and different types of step-grate cell. Regardless of the number of furnace arches (from one to three), the problems of arched structures are the same for step grate furnaces of all manufacturers. The complexity of the vaulted structure requires the knowledge and skills of lining specialists, as well as the availability of detailed engineering for the development of layouts for fashion breaks. But, even the fulfillment of all the conditions does not carry long-term guarantees of normal operation of the lining - every three to five years, the roofs need to be repaired, up to the complete dismantling of the lining and laying a new one. The Wellons furnace design using a plastic high-aluminate refractory (Al2O3 content> 82%) provides a minimum service life of the boiler furnace refractory for at least 10-15 years of operation virtually without repairs.
