WELLONS.RU LLC is a manufacturer of boiler equipment with a high unit thermal capacity (up to 280 MW, high pressure steam), a representative of the American company Wellons USA in Russia. In the projects, both in North America and in Russia, we traditionally use monolithic plastic refractory for lining the working layer of high-temperature boiler furnaces. It is important for us that this refractory, in addition to the basic properties of refractoriness, wear resistance, is completely ready for use, i.e. did not require preparatory work, formwork devices (in most cases). This can significantly reduce the lining time and does not require the involvement of highly qualified personnel.
A sharp increase in the value of the currency in 2014-2016. (dollar and euro), almost twice, pushed us to look for possible alternatives to plastic refractory from American and European manufacturers in connection with their unprofitable supply.
On June 14, 2016, the first installation meeting took place to study the theoretical possibility of obtaining plastic refractory materials at the BKO JSC production base, identified options and materials on the basis of which laboratory tests will be performed, and also formulated the terms of reference for the production of plastic printed high-aluminate mass.
Over the course of several months, in close cooperation with the specialists of the research laboratory of BKO JSC, a number of scientific tests were carried out to select the packing composition of the plastic material with the achievement of the requirements for ductility, strength characteristics and fire resistance. The result of the work was the development of the formulation, the determination of the technological parameters of the production of this material, for the technical services of the plant, on an industrial scale. On September 13, 2016, between Wellons.RU LLC and BKO JSC, a technical agreement was concluded for the production and supply of plastic packing material based on mullite-alumina mass on the WELL-PLAST phosphate bond, which marked the beginning of the industrial production of this material.
To test the production technology, on September 27, 2016, an experimental industrial batch of high-aluminate stuffed plastic mass WELL-PLAST P85 was manufactured, which, in turn, was tested during the repair of the lining of the Wellons boiler furnaces at JSC Solikamskbumprom. After a technical inspection of the boiler, after more than six months of operation in normal mode, we made sure that WELL-PLAST fully meets all the technical requirements that were determined at the development stage.
At present, we, together with the domestic leader in the production of aluminate refractories at Borovichi Refractories Plant JSC, present to you the highly-plastic flexible WELL-PLAST P85 material. This material is designed to meet the stringent requirements of various processes, including:
